Enjoy a fascinating day trip to Essaouira, a city of fishermen, where sympathy is its main virtue. Walk along its old medina, its extensive beach, relax in a restaurant to taste one of the many local dishes based on freshly captured fish and seafood and also visit an association of Berber women who produce Argan oil.

Our driver will pick you up directly from your hotel or riad in Marrakech at 08:00 to take a trip through the stunning scenery of the R207 route to the Atlantic coast, to the charming Essaouira, on a three-hour journey.
There are many things to see and do along the way. We will have the opportunity to stop to see the Argan trees, where small goats climb and feed on them. Sometimes, up to 20 goats can be seen in a single tree. It is a fascinating view and an excellent opportunity to take photos and take a touching memory of Morocco. We will also visit a cooperative of Berber women who produce Argan oil. This oil, extracted from the nuts of the tree, is not only a delicious accompaniment for any Moroccan food with bread, but also used as a beauty product for skin and hair.
This one-day tour will take us to a beautiful and ancient city that will captivate you as you walk through its streets: Essaouira, a port town formerly known as Mogador.
Once in Essaouira, you will have free time to enjoy your charms. You can admire its copper fortress, the fishing port and the daily lives of fishermen and inhabitants. Do not miss the beautiful Moulay El Hassan Square, the promenade where you can walk, relax or bathe in its extensive golden sandy beach. Walking through its walls is also a must; old bronze cannons line up on the walls, and the walls protected the coast of ancient invasions. Losing yourself in the vibrant alleys of its ancient medina, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is another of the great experiences. There you can visit the local zocos and wonders with the jewels in the jewellery district. Enjoy an exquisite local lunch based on fresh fish or seafood just captured in the many restaurants on the promenade. Essaouira also has several modern cafes where contemporary culture is mixed with the rich history of the city.
About 6:00 p.m., we'll go back to Marrakech. You will have the opportunity to enjoy the sunset while the sun is hidden on the horizon. Essaouira is a must stop for most tourists visiting Morocco. After this tour, you will understand why Essaouira has loved characters like Orson Welles or Jimi Hendrix.
